Humayun (2nd reign, 1555-1556), Silver ½ Shahrukhi of Kabul Mint, 'Sikka Muradi' type, date off flan, 2.25g. Obv: Kalima in circular cartouche; names of Caliphs and their titles around. Rev: Muhammad Humayun in rectangular cartouche; legend Sikka Muradi Fi al-Kabul along the margins.
Fine+, Very Rare.
This coin is of an extremely rare type. The meaning of the legend 'Sikka Muradi' is not yet satisfactorily known. It might refer to a 'Nisar'- like coinage struck according to the 'wish' (or Murad) of the king.
