Yadavas of Devagiri, Gold Punch-marked Gadyana of Ramachandra (c. 1274-1315 AD), 2.85g. Obv: Five punches - 1 x indistinct figure in centre, 2 x Kannada letter 'Shri', 1 x 'Sankha and Chakra' emblem, 1 x Devanagari legend 'Sri Rama'.
Extremely Fine, Rare.
This is a different variety from the normal 'Padma-Tanka' type gold Gadyanas of Ramachandra, possibly struck at a mint located in the southern part of the kingdom and to a lower weight standard.
