Obv: Diademed king wearing aegis on shoulder, thrusting javelin to left; Greek legend BASILEOS SOTEROS MENANDROU in full circle around. Rev: Athena Alkidemos hurling thunderbolt to right, monogram in the left field; Kharoshthi legend Maharajasa Tratarasa Menandrasa in full circle around.
About Very Fine, Scarce.
An early variety of Menader's silver coinage - this variety has both legends inscribed in a continuous circular fashion, rather than being discontinued at the king's name.
