Mathura, 'Datta' rulers, c. 100 BC, die-struck Copper alloy Coin of Bhavadatta, 3.21g. Obv: Brahmi legend Bhavadatasa in bold letters in centre; stylized depiction of a goddess, possibly flanked by a three-arched hill below it and traces of other symbols above. Rev: Elephant walking to left.
Very Fine, Rare.
The coins of 'Datta'-rulers of Mathura are much rarer than the 'Mitra'-rulers.
