Sikh Empire, Silver Rupee, Amritsar Mint, 'Nanak Shahi' Couplet, VS 1885/97. "OM" inscribed in Nagari on the obverse of the coin. Period of Sher Singh as ruler. Religious and political symbols started appearing on Sikh coins after the death of Ranjit Singh in 1839 AD (VS 1896), G. Singh 01.61.02.
Slight test cut on obverse, otherwise Very Fine, Very Scarce.
