Vidisha, uninscribed Copper punch-marked Coin (200-150 BC), Pieper 480-481, 8.29g. Obv: Three symbolic punches - 'Ujjain'-symbol, tree-in-railing and triangle-headed standard. Rev: Traces of bull standing in front of a triangle-headed standard, river below and Chakra above.
Very Fine+, Rare.
The coin is counterstruck on an uninscribed uniface die-struck coin type from Eastern Malwa. It is important for ascertaining the internal chronology of Vidisha coins.
