Nawanagar, Silver Kori, 4.78g, in the name of Sultan Muzaffar Shah III of Gujarat, fixed date AH 978, Nagari inscription Shri Jam Ja (sic.) followed by two vertical lines below the name of the Sultan.
Extremely Fine, Rare.
The name of Muzaffar Shah became a fixed feature on the coins of Nawanagar after he granted the permission to the Jam of Nawanagar to strike coins in his name. The fine style and accurate weight indicate this is an early issue, perhaps dated to 1600-1700 AD.
