Maratha Confederacy, Silver ½ Rupee, Ahmedabad Mint, in the name of Shah Alam II, RY 3x, with the word 'Ram' inscribed in Nagari as a differentiating mark, not listed in M&W, 5.68g.
Very Fine, Very Scarce.
Although a well-known variety, Maheshwari & Wiggins do not consider this as a Maratha coin, perhaps treating it as an issue of the Gaikwars who also ran their own mint in Ahmedabad, simultaneously with the Peshwa's representatives.
