Shah Jahan (1627-1658 AD), Silver Rupee, Dar ul-Khilafat Akbarabad Mint, AH 1068/RY 31, 11.37g. Obv: Shahada in octafoil; names of Rashidoons in margins. Rev: Shah Jahan Badshah Ghazi in octafoil; ism and laqab with Sahib Qiran Thani and mint-name with epithet in the margins.
Well centre struck with nice toning, Extremely Fine, Rare.
Towards the end of Shah Jahan's reign, the 'octafoil in centre' type coins were struck from Shahjahanabad, Akbarabad and Daulatabad mints.
