About Very Fine, Very Rare.
The reverse of this coin is very similar to a coin described by Altekar as an example of his var. A. Altekar remarks, "this is a transition stage, anticipating the Padmasana type of Chandra Gupta II". This coin, being of var. B, attests the transition to have continued across the varieties.
