The mint-name on this coin is not yet read with certainty. It is nevertheless new and hitherto unreported in catalogues or published lists of Mughal mint town. Stylistically, the coin belongs to the South Marathwada/North-East Karnataka/North-West Telingana region and is very similar, but comparably inferior in execution, to the rupees struck at Ausa.
