Fine, Very Rare.
A coin of this type is known so far only from a solitary specimen in the British Museum collection. Senior lists it as 'Uncertain', and places it between Gondophares and Abdagases. On this coin, however, the name of the king appears to be 'Sasan', visible partly under the king's feet on obverse. The obverse depiction bears similarity to silver issues of Azilises, (Senior 30.1T) and the reverse is similar to a god who looks like the Hermes who appears on the back of copper coins of Azes (Senior 107). On this coin, the figure appears to have a veil over its head so it might be of a goddess.
