Gupta Empire, Gold Dinar of Samudra Gupta (340-375 AD), 'King and Queen' type, Altekar p. 34, no. 3, Pl. I-10, 7.49g (Altekar attributes this type to Chandra Gupta I). Obv: Nimbate king and queen standing, Brahmi legend Chandra Gupta on either side of standard held by the king. Rev: Goddess seated on lion, facing right, holding cornucopia and noose; Brahmi legend Lichchhawayah to right, Tamgha in the left field.
