Chandragupta II, (c. 380-414), Gold Dinar, Lion - slayer type, legend around, king standing right drawing bow at lion which falls back with open mouth, Traces of Brahmi legend seen around. rev simhavikrama, goddess Durga seated left on lion seated left, holding long-stemme flower in left hand and noose in the right. ( BMC IX 9, Altekar pl. VI, 6).
