Nepal, silver medal awarded to the soldiers of 'Sher Paltan' (Lion Battalion) of the Nepalese army during the 3rd Nepal -Tibet War of 1855-1857 AD, dated VS 1912, during the reign of King Surendra Vir Vikram Sah Deo, 20.97g. Obv: Sword and sacrificial flower garland in centre; Nepalese legend Si 1912 Sal Ma Gorkha Sarkar Watbho Tanka. Rev: Shield in centre; Nepalese legend Shri 3 Maharaja Jang Bahadur Sher Paltan.
