Akbar (1556-1605 AD), silver square rupee, Surat mint, Ilahi 38, instead of month name, word 'Jan' is inscribed on reverse and with letter 'swaad' in Surat instead of letter 'seen', Zeno #85172, KM 88.6, 11.37g. According to Jan Lingen, the legend may be interpreted as “Struck at Surat in the year 38 of the Divine spirit”. Obv: Persian Legend Jal Jalalhu Akbar Allah.
