Roman Empire, gold solidus of Leo I (457-474 AD), Constantinople mint, struck during 462-466 AD, with two piercings, 4.42g. Obv: Front-facing bust of the emperor with helmet and pearl diadem, holding a spear and shield; legend DN LEO PERPET AVG around. Rev: Victoria standing left with a large decorated cross behind, a star in the field behind, in exergue CONOB; legend VICTORIA AVG GGΓ around.
