British India, shooting competition medal instituted by The Cawnpore Woollen Mills, awarded for musketry, 1936-37, 21.16g. Obverse bears the 'Star of India' order breast badge with the name of the army unit N.01 PLATOON 2nd PATIALA INFANTRY to which the recipient of the medal belonged. Reverse within ornamental border, a shield inscribed: MUSKETRY PRIZE Engraved below: WINNERS 1936-37, Puddester has listed 960.27, Punjab RREG.T but not Patiala Infantry.
