Sultans of Delhi, Suris, silver rupee of Islam Shah (1545-1552 AD), Fathabad mint (fully visible), AH 952, G&G D959 (Plate Specimen) (listed as RRR), 11.40g. Obv: Shahada la illah illa allah muhammad rasuluhu allah in circular border; Arabic legend 'al-sultan al-adil', names of Caliphs abu bakr, umar, uthmān and ali in margin. Rev: In circle, Arabic legend islam shah ibn sher shah sultan khallada allah mulkahu wa sultanahu followed by mint-name fathabad; other title jalal al-dunya wa'l din abu'l muzaffar 952 with Devanagari legend Sri Isalamasahi in the margin.
A wonderfully preserved specimen, exhibiting rich cabinet patina, bold high-relief striking, and sharply rendered details, offering tremendous eye appeal.
Toned, Extremely fine, Exceptionally rare.
